Veli Žal beach is a beautiful pebble beach situated in the northern part of Long Island near the village Dragove. Right in front of the beach is a small islet Mežanj which is the only islet on this side of Long Island.
The beach can be reached easily by car, just follow the well-marked asphalt road. Veli Žal beach is famous for its fine white sand in the sea which streches over a kilometer long. Even in the high season you will have more than enough space for enjoying the peace and quiet. Veli Žal beach is ideal for nature lovers seeking to escape from reality but it's also suitable for children due to easy entrances into the sea. Close to the beach there is a small bar where you can find food and drinks.
