Overview
Experience the beauty and history of Nin and Pag with a full-day excursion from Zadar. Your adventure begins with pick-up from your hotel and transportation to Nin, a 3000-year-old town on a heart-shaped island in the middle of a lagoon. Explore the town's rich history, including the remains of one of the greatest Roman temples on the East Adriatic coast and the famous Duke Višeslav Baptistery used to baptize pagan Croatians in 800. After that, visit the Church of Cross, which is renowned as the smallest cathedral in the world and holds significant value in terms of religion, history, and culture. Throughout the tour, a private guide will lead you through the historical and modern jewels hidden around every corner.
Then, head to the island of Pag, where you'll see salt production by draining small clay pools in which seawater is introduced. The island is also famous for the Pag lace, nurtured through centuries by lace-makers, with each lace a unique item. Visitors can't miss the opportunity to visit Gligora, the most famous cheese dairy on Pag island, and taste their exquisite cheeses. After sightseeing, it's time to tantalize your taste buds with Dalmatian wine and the famous Pag cheese. This excursion promises to take you on an unforgettable journey through the ancient history and natural beauty of Nin and Pag.
