The course spans three days, with two hours of training each day, totaling six hours of instruction. The course is held in the picturesque coastal town of Privlaka, which offers a perfect setting for kitesurfing. The location has ideal wind and water conditions for beginners, making it an excellent place to start your kitesurfing journey. The Beginner Kitesurfing Course is designed to provide comprehensive training that covers all the essential techniques required to learn kitesurfing. The course is divided into three steps, each focusing on different aspects of kitesurfing.
Learning the basics
The initial stage of the course involves acquiring fundamental skills. These include getting acquainted with the basics of wind theory, safety measures, and the right-of-way rules. Additionally, you will begin practicing on a 2-line trainer kite, familiarizing yourself with the wind window and power zones, enabling you to regulate the delivery of pull from the kite.
The big kite
After mastering the basics, it's time to progress to the next level by introducing the larger depower able to kite, which has four or five lines. Prior to using the kite in the water, you will receive training on how to set it up and utilize its safety systems effectively. Flying the big depower able kite involves using the control bar properly, performing water relaunches, power diving the kite, controlling it in underpowered and overpowered conditions, using one hand to control the kite, self-rescue techniques, and more.
Getting on the board
After you have mastered handling the large kite, you are prepared to start riding the board. You will acquire the skill of maneuvering the kite downward to launch yourself onto the board and adjusting your leg and body placement when you feel the kite's force. Once you gain momentum, the key is to maintain balance on the board and steer with the edges. If you have any prior experience with snowboarding, wakeboarding, or skateboarding, it should make the learning process smoother.
The progress is entirely up to you and relies on your focus, determination, and ambition. The duration required to reach the desired objective may vary, with some individuals needing more or less time. While the standard duration is six hours, some people may need to invest additional hours.
