You can try your skills out either in Privlaka or Nin.
Kitesurfing Nin
You can do a lot more than just tanning and sippin’ delicious cocktails on the heavenly beaches of Nin. The Beach Ždrijac is a kite zone where you’ll be able to conquer the craziest waves and look like a boss doing it. You’ll be taught in the Kite School on Ždrijac by some of the best professionals in this area. So, even if you’re having second thoughts, rest assured - you’ll be well taken care of.
The best thing about this school is that it’s only 15km from Zadar and 8km from Zadar Airport. This means that even if your accommodation isn’t in Nin, you can still get there pretty quickly.
There are 3 types of lessons you can choose from:
Level 1 lesson, also known as “Discover” is a 2-hour lesson where you’ll learn the basics of kitesurfing. We recommend it if you’re a beginner and are wondering if kitesurfing is something you’d enjoy doing.
Level 2 lesson, named “Intermediate” is a 2-3 day lesson that lasts 6hrs in total. Here, you’ll learn more details about kitesurfing and will finally realize why everybody’s obsessed with it! You’ll get familiar with the adrenaline high that gets you hooked on this.
And for those who have already had the opportunity to fall in love with this activity and want to level up their skills, there is a Level 3, Independent lesson where they will master skills only known by professionals. They will become rulers of the wildest waves and allies of the wind that gives them the utmost power. To them, the sea is no longer a surface to glide on, it’s an empty canvas they get to decorate with their movement. This is the peak of kitesurfing, it’s the time when it takes a leap past the border of sport and transmutes into the finest form of art.
Kitesurfing Privlaka
As if we didn’t love Privlaka just the way it is already, this beautiful little municipality decided to amp up its tourist offer and open a prestigious Kitesurfing Club Maestral. Situated only 20km from Zadar City, it’s just a short ride away from you.
The best thing about the Kitesurfing club Maestral is that it’s got a trial course if you’re curious whether kitesurfing is a sport that would be of your interest or not. This includes a 2-hour course where you’ll learn all the basics (training kite control, safety system, basic control, and training kite control). After that, you won’t be left with any unanswered questions and will be able to decide whether or not this is something you’d like to try out.
There’s also a beginner’s course. This one will take up a little more of your time, but it’s well worth the hype! It’s a 3-day course (2 hours every day) where you’ll learn everything there is to kitesurfing. After this course, you’ll be ready to hop on a kite and feel the striking sensation of freedom flow through your body as you glide on top of the waves.
Maestral kitesurfing club has something to offer even to some of you that are a bit more experienced in kitesurfing. You can try yourself out on an advanced lesson to sharpen up those kitesurfing skills and learn some new tricks. Either way, rest assured that your kitesurfing experience will be taken to a whole new level you never thought was possible!
