Sunday: Kayaking and cliff jumping
Your guide will meet you at Brbinj Ferry Port at 10:30 and transfer you to the bay where the kayak adventure begins (just 10 minutes away).
This morning is an expedition to discover an uninhabited part of this unique island. You’ll begin by kayaking a 4km-long route that will take you gliding past isolated beaches and snaking through sea caves. There’s even time to stop off and have a go at cliff jumping; the crystal waters below will dissolve any hesitations you might have.
You’ll return to the bay and take the short transfer to camp (30-minute drive), getting to know new friends on the way. When you arrive, make it your own and refuel with some lunch before heading back out on the water.
This afternoon, you’ll paddle 5km to a shipwreck; this area is fascinating and makes for some awesome snorkelling.
Return to camp to dry out by the campfire and enjoy dinner and some free time getting to know the group before you call it a night and fall asleep to the sound of crashing waters.
Monday: Discover a secret bay
Wake this morning to the call of seabirds and enjoy breakfast by the water and maybe even take a dip.
When the group is ready, you’ll continue to paddle along the soaring cliffs for 8km until you reach the white sands that dreams are made of; the beaches are what make Dugi Otok the enchanting island it is, and this beach is a perfect example.
Enjoy your day in this secret paradise; swimming, snorkelling, paddling, playing sea games, and make time to stop for a cold beer.
In the late afternoon, you will be transferred back to the ferry port where this amazing getaway all began.
Accommodation
You will camp at Camp Kargita. This is a small and family campsite with a small shop and restaurant on site.
The camp is located at the northwestern cape of the island which is an area protected and designated as significant landscape of Croatia.
Situated in a pine forest combined with recently planted olive trees, the campsite is a perfect place for those looking for a unique, peaceful, picturesque and natural experience. An area of 8000m2 is divided into 50 camping units, ranging to 70m2, which can accommodate 100 guests.
You will be given a 3 man tent to sleep two comfortably. If you are travelling alone and would like a single tent, this can be arranged in advance with the host.
